Keep an eye out for the latest posts.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0\u201cGod of War\u201d is coming out on April 20, and fans have already noticed that it looks very different. Different weapons, different pantheon and even Kratos seems like he\u2019s changed. Some fans are wondering if this was going to be the kind of \u201cGod of War\u201d that we\u2019re all familiar with. It isn\u2019t, but that\u2019s the point.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0Kratos was a spartan when his country was at war and he prayed to Ares to assure him victory against his enemies, in exchange for being Ares\u2019 servant. Kratos was given the blades of chaos, a pair of chained swords forged in the depths of Tartarus. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0However, while he was serving, Ares tricked him into murdering his family while attacking a village of worshipers of Athena. In the new \u201cGod of War\u201d, Kratos isn\u2019t like that. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0Here, Kratos has a new family and a son named Atreus. Kratos is much more disciplined since he\u2019s trying to be a good father figure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>We will see him try to establish a bond with Atreus, and teach him about self-control and consequences. We can see that Atreus can hold his own in a fight. He aids his father with his bow and arrow, taking down enemies from afar, or focusing on whatever target you want him to. This isn\u2019t to say that Kratos is dependent on his son. Kratos is still a god and is still just as powerful.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0Also, his blades of chaos are gone, replaced by an axe called \u201cLeviathan,\u201d and a retractable shield whose name hasn\u2019t been disclosed. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 \u00a0Another large change for the franchise is the setting of this game.
