Sometimes being social, likeable and overall charming is hard. One would think these are the traits that could win you a date with that cute guy or girl you\u2019re always lurking on.<\/span><\/p>\n Let\u2019s be real though\u2026 That doesn\u2019t always work.<\/span><\/p>\n There are times when you need to go out of your comfort zone and do something special to win over your future soulmate.<\/span><\/p>\n If you\u2019ve ever watched a movie, there are usually some pretty good tips for scoring a date buried in them.<\/span><\/p>\n Here are a few ways you can get a date (based on movies.)<\/span><\/p>\n If you\u2019re feeling especially old school, you could play your potential date\u2019s favorite song. Just go find an old-school boom box and hold it precariously over your head, \u201cSay Anything\u201d style.<\/span><\/p>\n You could take a hint from \u201cLady and the Tramp\u201d and share your food with your eye candy. This could get weird if you haven\u2019t actually spoken to them yet, but just go up and offer them some of that burger or salad you\u2019ve half eaten already.<\/span><\/p>\n Another great way to get your soul mate is by being a glitterified vampire like Edward and the rest of the Cullen family in \u201cTwilight.\u201d Just blind your date with your magnificent radiance.<\/span><\/p>\n Going along with this, you could also just be the chosen one and have a whole prophecy written about how you\u2019re supposed to kill the Dark Lord. Basically, you should just be Harry Potter.<\/span><\/p>\n If you\u2019re feeling heroic, but not quite chosen, you could still just save the world. Put on your best suit and fancy gadgets in order to replicate every James Bond film ever made. He always wins the attractive female.<\/span><\/p>\n Some of y\u2019all aren\u2019t quite that intense though, so you may want to do something a little more plausible to win your dream gal or guy.<\/span><\/p>\n If you happen to live in a rather wet environment, you may need to grow some legs and feet in order to get out there and find your date. If Ariel can sell her voice for feet, you can too.<\/span><\/p>\n You could also just go on an adventure to find a sleeping princess. I can\u2019t imagine there are many castles here in Ohio (or America in general,) but I\u2019m sure if you have the determination to find a sleeping princess and kiss (harass) her while she\u2019s sleeping you\u2019ll be a winner.<\/span><\/p>\n I\u2019m guessing many of you don\u2019t want to go very far to score a date though. (Lazy!)<\/span><\/p>\n If you want to stick close to home, you could always take a scene from \u201cPsycho\u201d and surprise your mate in the shower. I wouldn\u2019t take the knife though since you\u2019re already going to be charged with breaking and entering.<\/span><\/p>\n If kidnapping is more your thing, you could always take your date to the top of the Empire State Building like King Kong or drop them in a pit and force them to put the lotion on the skin.<\/span><\/p>\n If you\u2019re looking for entrapment but not quite kidnapping, you could take a scene from \u201cJuno\u201d and get pregnant. Babies \u2014 the best way to keep someone around even when they don\u2019t want to be.<\/span><\/p>\n There may be one or two of you where none of these works out. That\u2019s okay. I have one more idea.<\/span><\/p>\n Just don\u2019t be yourself. It worked for Spiderman\/Peter Parker when Tobey McGuire played him.<\/span><\/p>\n Sometimes you\u2019re not good as a human when you should be yourself. You\u2019re just too weird or too loud.
