This week in politicians who do and say dumb things, a Republican from Iowa said that \u201cI\u2019d like to see an America that\u2019s so homogenous that we look a lot the same.\u201d Meanwhile, Kellyanne Conway said that microwaves might be spying on us.<\/span><\/p>\n

First of all, the microwaves. Apparently microwaves can turn into cameras. I never trusted microwaves. That\u2019s why I blew up marshmallows and CD\u2019s in them when I was younger. They\u2019re dangerous and it\u2019s where the Obama administration spied on me.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last week, a plethora of leaked documents from the CIA showed that Samsung TV\u2019s could be hacked into and used for spying purposes. So, Conway\u2019s information isn\u2019t totally off base. After all, she\u2019s reaching out to a group of people, like my own grandfather, who are a little paranoid and wary of the CIA. <\/span><\/p>\n

Who wouldn\u2019t be a little concerned about spying televisions? It gets people thinking about other things. Maybe the microwaves are spies, maybe the refrigerator, the washer or dryer. People can\u2019t trust their own homes anymore. Maybe the house is a spy! Be sure to keep an eye on that microwave though and always keep a baseball bat nearby. Maybe just move out all together and live in a bunker.<\/span><\/p>\n

Personally, if the CIA would like to spy on me, go ahead. You\u2019ll find me watching Project Runway or Cops and scrolling through Twitter.<\/span><\/p>\n

Later, Conway took back her statement on CNN saying, \u201cI\u2019m not Inspector Gadget. I don\u2019t believe people are using the microwave to spy on the campaign.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Well, she said it, so if she didn\u2019t believe it, what\u2019s the point of saying it? Also, I\u2019d look into this Inspector Gadget thing. Excuse me, House Intelligence Committee, I don\u2019t have any evidence, but I\u2019d like this investigated.<\/span><\/p>\n

The other story here is the Iowa Republican, Steve King, who made strange comments last week.<\/span><\/p>\n

He tweeted, \u201cWe can\u2019t restore our civilization with somebody else\u2019s babies.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

After the hailstorm of controversy and confusion that followed him, he was given the opportunity to clear up the confusion with what exactly he meant by the comment.<\/span><\/p>\n

King said that the tweet wasn\u2019t about race, but rather, he said his comments were instead about \u201cour stock, our country, our culture, our civilization,\u201d and that \u201cwe need to have enough babies to replace ourselves.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

King said that there is a plan to make whites a majority-minority and he isn\u2019t happy about that.<\/span><\/p>\n

Who even cares? I don\u2019t really understand this concept of white people needing to be the majority. In the end, it doesn\u2019t really matter.<\/span><\/p>\n

A cousin of mine recently had the most adorable baby I have ever seen. The baby just happens to be bi-racial. Does this mean that she is contributing to some master plan of making white people a minority? No, it just means she had a super cute baby.<\/span><\/p>\n

The great thing about America is that it is a melting pot. People from all different countries have brought their culture into this place and it\u2019s an amazing thing to witness.<\/span><\/p>\n

There\u2019s an incredible thing that happens when people from different cultures and backgrounds can become friends and can have a dialogue about their differences.<\/span><\/p>\n

King\u2019s comments revealed a heart of supremacy within him. There is no one race that is greater than another and when they can blend together, it\u2019s a beautiful symbol of love.<\/span><\/p>\n

My cousin, who now lives in Africa with her husband, has taken her background to an entirely different country and merged it with her husband\u2019s African culture. I think that\u2019s a beautiful thing.<\/span><\/p>\n
