Mary Chen, a food service lead worker in Building 13, is a Ring of Stars winner from Aramark. Ring of Stars is \u201can exclusive distinction for hourly employees and field managers\u201d as stated by the Chairman, President, and CEO Eric J. Foss. Chen will go to Las Vegas in October for a special induction ceremony. <\/span><\/p>\n

There are approximately 270,000 Aramark employees from all over the world. From all the employees only 1,400 are nominated by workers, managers, or business leaders and only 200 are selected for the Ring of Stars. Among the 200 selected winners is Sinclair\u2019s very own, Mary Chen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aramark prides itself in hiring the best in the business and Foss also mentioned, \u201cour workers are the face of Aramark.\u201d Chen and the other selected employees are the example.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe official name of the shop where Mary Chen works may be Building 13, but staff and students know it as Mary\u2019s Market\u201d as said in Chen\u2019s winner spotlight.<\/span><\/p>\n

As soon as someone walks in the door, Chen is there to greet that person with an enthusiastic, \u201cHello! How are you?\u201d It\u2019s also known that Chen knows many of her customers by name and always gives recommendations to those who are new to the shop.<\/span><\/p>\n

Customers are able to leave feedback in the Voice of the Customer website. Many of Chen\u2019s WOW comments included, \u201cMs. Mary loves seeing new people\u2026 She makes going to school better every day.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI love going to the sub shop and seeing Ms. Mary brightening people\u2019s day with her smile and sweet hellos.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cShe takes the time to get to know you and tries to remember everyone who comes through.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cKudos to Mary for providing excellent customer service.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Comments from customers were also taken into consideration when selecting the Ring of Stars winners. Chen\u2019s feedback was overall positive which shows in her 18 years of customer service.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chen and her son will leave for Las Vegas in October. A limo will pick her up and take her to participate in a three-day program full of business sessions, recreational and leisure activities, and a Ring of Stars Awards Dinner. Chen will receive a ring that states she is part of Aramark\u2019s very best. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am very proud of her and it is well deserved on her part. If you go to Building 13 and get to know Mary, you will be amazed,\u201d exclaimed Tim Sweet, Manager of Food Services.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chen\u2019s hard work and great customer service earned her a winner spot in the Ring of Stars. Chen is located at the sub shop in Building 13.<\/span><\/p>\n
