Meet\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ca Tisa Alexander is a psychology major completing her first year at Sinclair.<\/p>\n

Why She\u2019s Interesting\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

With her deep love of travel, Alexander wants to take her future (and career) new places.<\/p>\n

Alexander found her love of travel when she was younger. She traveled through Tennessee, Florida and most of the other southern states with her parents.<\/p>\n

When Alexander was 19 years old, she moved out on her own for the first time and began her traveling journey.<\/p>\n

Since then she has moved to her current home in Union, north of Dayton.<\/p>\n

Recently, Alexander visited San Antonio, Texas where she spent the week with family.<\/p>\n

On her future journeys, Alexander mentioned traveling across seas and even having a tiny house.<\/p>\n

Alexander named off many European countries she wants to visit, from Germany to Denmark; however, she is most intrigued by the culture, architecture and food of Japan.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to see what it\u2019s like to be in a very technologically advanced place but also a place that has such tradition,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Alexander\u2019s desire to study psychology came later in her life. Originally she wanted to be a veterinarian.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was committed to it,\u201d she said. \u201cI watched Animal Planet<\/em> every day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alexander said her love of animals just didn\u2019t provide the social interaction that she wanted; she had a passion for helping people.<\/p>\n

Through her teen and early adult years, she has met and talked to many different people from all walks of life.<\/p>\n

She said it was \u201cinteresting to get to know them, and the things that have happened in their lives, and see the person that they\u2019ve become.\u201d<\/p>\n

Today when she isn\u2019t out exploring the world, Alexander is practicing her psychology skills as a cashier at Dollar General.<\/p>\n

Alexander simply says the human interaction is what makes this job worthwhile.<\/p>\n

\u201cHearing stories of [the customers\u2019] lives; that\u2019s the most rewarding part of my job,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Alexander said the next career choice she wants to make is working in human resources for a large company. She feels this will further her knowledge in industrial organizational psychology.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy life plan is to specialize in I.O. psychology, contract out my career to different companies and move around the world with a tiny house,\u201d Alexander said.<\/p>\n

While on her journey to achieving these career and travel goals, Alexander reminds herself: \u201cIt\u2019s a pleasure to be in school [learning in my field] and have a roof over my head.\u201d<\/p>\n
