Pictures being presented on social media can make bullying more public.”

Adam Oda
Exercise Science Major
“I think when it comes to social media, if you post that kind of stuff online, everybody around the world can kind of see that. So I’d say it’s a little worse than face to face confrontation.”

Jesse Brewster
Computer Science Engineering Major
“I would say no. It’s someone behind a screen and it’s not as personal as someone getting in your face about it. There’s that distance with the screen and over an internet connection. It seems like if someone comes and says it to you, it’s going to be a lot worse than if they do it over the [internet].”

Sarah Hipple
English Major
“I would say yes because people have the power to be more mean about it–they can violate your privacy more easily, and get it to more people. The humiliation of it is worse, and they can usually get away with it without any sort of reprimand.”

Valencia Bruno
Journalism Major
“I don’t think so, because easily you could just turn off the computer and you don’t have to worry or think about it.
