This year’s 41st annual writer\u2019s workshop, located in the library Loggia on Monday November 11, will feature five different speakers and writing workshops.<\/p>\n
Tim Waggoner, English professor, who has previously been the director of the event said this year\u2019s event is a good way for people who are interested in writing, to learn more and sharpen their skills.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat\u2019s really cool this year is that it\u2019s free to the public,\u201d Waggoner said. He said that last year the event was not free and made it difficult for people to attend.

\nWaggoner, who is the author of over two dozen novels, will be speaking at the event this year.<\/p>\n
\u201cI will be doing level up, I will be able to decrease your learning curve,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Waggoner said that it is special to have the New York Times best-selling author, Gilbert King as the keynote speaker.<\/p>\n
\u201c[Gilbert King] is a national level writer, who was nominated for the Dayton Peace Prize,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
In addition to King and Waggoner, there will be three other speakers at the event, as well as an open mike for people to share their work.<\/p>\n
People get a chance to go ahead and read whatever they brought, he said. \u201cYou get a chance to meet other people either from the area or from Sinclair who are interested in writing too.\u201d<\/p>\n
Waggoner said that they try to cover all different types of writing from fiction to screenwriting.<\/p>\n
\u201cPeople can find something no matter what their interests are,\u201d Waggoner said.<\/p>\n
