Season one of Stranger Things was no doubt a total success and fans are counting down the hours until season two is released on Oct. 27. There have been a few trailers released for season two with a lot of new questions and teasers. Spoilers ahead for anyone who has not seen season one.

At the end of season one we see Will go to the bathroom during dinner and cough up a slug. We also see a slug coming out of Barb’s decayed body while Eleven is in the deprivation pool. Fans are speculating that even though Will was rescued, he could still be infected and is a host for Demegorgon eggs.

The trailers for season two show clips of him upset and traumatized by his experience in the Upside Down. There is one clip of Will in a room at Hawkins lab. His mother, Joyce, is asking the doctor why this is happening to Will and how to help him. We did not get to see a lot of Will in the last season and what he went through during his time in the Upside Down, so hopefully this season will shed some light on his time there.

One of the major questions fans asked at the end of the season was the condition of Eleven. Did she survive? If she did, where is she and is she safe? Lucky for us, the trailers for season two do confirm that Eleven did survive, but she has been in the Upside Down since she destroyed the Demegorgon.

The trailer shows her escaping from the Upside Down and returning to Hawkins. There is a clip of her opening the door to what could be her mother’s house. If Eleven and her mom reconnect, will they be able to share information that could lead to the end of Hawkins Lab? Fans are dying to see Eleven and Mike reconnect after the end of season one. Hopefully we will be able to see their reunion and the development of their relationship.

Something the trailers suggest is that Steve, Nancy’s boyfriend, develops a relationship with the younger boys. There are a couple clips of dialogue between Steve and Dustin. It will be interesting to see interactions between the teenagers and the younger boys.

The trailers also suggest that Nancy and Jonathan have not talked since their fight with the Demegorgon. The new danger seems to bring them back together and Nancy tells Jonathan that they only hang out when the end of the world is at stake.

Stranger Things is centered around the 1980s culture and the trailers for season two show the younger boys dressed as the Ghostbusters for Halloween. The original Ghostbusters movie was released in 1984, which is when season two takes place.

At the end of season one, the boys are in Mike’s basement playing Dungeons and Dragons. At the end of another long campaign, they are faced with a three-headed hydra. They beat the hydra, and in the trailers for the second season, it looks like the new enemy is a giant three-headed hydra in the sky.
