Sinclair Community College announced its interim senior vice president position has been filled within the college on Thursday, April 29.

Effective May 1, Senior Director of School Linkages Michael Carter will step into the senior VP role, according to a press release from Sinclair. Carter is set to fill the position through the academic year. The position was previously filled by Dr. Robert Johnson.

Carter has spent nine years with the college and has aided Sinclair by leading school linkages and the Out of School Youth Initiative. Carter has a bachelor’s degree in history from Wittenberg University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Wright State University. Carter has also spent time as a high school principal, coach, teacher and a probation officer, according to the press release.
