Sinclair earns No. 4 seed at Regionals

Ranked No. 6 in the nation, the Sinclair Tartan Pride (42-8, 10-2 in OCCAC) earned the fourth overall seed in the NJCAA Regional XII Tournament. For the second straight season, the Tartan Pride face No. 5 Muskegon Community College (42-14, 20-8 in MCCAA) in the first round. The match will be held on Friday, May 14 at 10 a.m. in Battle Creek, Mich. Sinclair finished runner-up in last year’s regional tournament. Mocking the NFL Draft

A lot has happened since the Clarion gave its first attempt at sorting out the first five picks of the 2010 NFL Draft on SinclairClarion.com. Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford is now the likely first overall selection, Florida quarterback Tim Tebow signed an endorsement deal with Nike and the Washington Redskins are no longer in the market for a starting quarterback. Pride dominating opponents

It’s safe to say the Sinclair Tartan Pride has found its stride. Entering with a 5-4 record, the Tartan Pride (10-4) muscled past their opponents by posting a 5-0 mark this week. Sinclair poured the runs in as the Tartan Pride scored 69 runs and gathered 76 hits in wins over Glen Oakes Community College, Urbana University and Miami University-Middletown. Pride pound UC Clermont 18-8

Sinclair baseball finally brought its bats to the ballpark On March 9, the Tartan Pride (5-4) routed the University of Cincinnati Clermont 18-8 at Grady’s Field in Xenia. The Pride are on a three-game win streak and have won four of their last five games. The night belonged to the Sinclair sluggers. Justin Marrero and Clay Ragland each collected three hits and two RBIs, while Macklin Bray knocked in three RBIs on two hits. On Hollywood’s largest stage, a man named Oscar reigns supreme. Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin host the 82nd Academy Awards on Sunday, March 7 on ABC. This marks the first year that the Academy increased its Best Picture nominations to 10 films. “Avatar,” which recently became the highest-grossing film of all-time, and “The Hurt Locker” led all nominations with nine, including Best Picture.
