Basketball teams conclude solid seasons

Sinclair Tartan Pride coach Jeff Price and Lady Pride coach Jeff Dillon both made good on preseason predictions that this year’s basketball teams would be better than lasts. The Tartan Pride finished with a 22-10 record, a three game improvement over last year’s squad, while the Lady Pride finished the season with a 19-10 record, which was nine games better than last season. On Dec. 23, 2008, the General Motors Assembly Plant in Moraine closed its doors for good. At the time of the closing, more than 2,000 employees were shown the door. More than a year later, Sinclair Community College has served as a gateway to new careers for the Moraine plant’s displaced workers. The smell of pine tar and the sound of a broken bat mean one thing: It’s baseball season. Opening the door for high school students

Sinclair Community College’s average student age is 27 years old. With college programs opening more doors for high school students, that number might change. Programs like Post Secondary Enrollment Option (PSEO) allows students with a minimum 2.5 GPA to enter Sinclair during their freshmen year of high school, according to Deborah Mosher, administrative assistant of the PSEO program. “This program is a great way for students to get college credit and the full college experience,” Mosher said. Bookstore makes changes for spring rush

Prepare to stand in a tent to get your books this quarter.
