About

The Clarion is a student-run newspaper dedicated to the cause of communications and is designed to be a designated public forum for students at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio.  We strive to remain a high quality newspaper that communicates news of interest and significance to the students, faculty and staff at Sinclair Community College, and we serve as an open forum for the exchange of opinions within the college.

The Clarion provides practical experience for students interested in journalism (reporting, editing, online), business (advertising, accounting, marketing), art (layout, cartooning) and photography.  We foster student leadership skills through promotion to editorial to managerial positions and opportunities to attend seminars and workshops.

The Clarion follows the Society of Professional Journalists Code of Ethics and the Associated Collegiate Press Code of Ethics.
