Actor rallies students to vote early

A surprise visitor came to Sinclair on Sept. 30 to rally students to vote early. Nate Parker, actor in films including Pride and The Great Debaters, visited Sinclair to take students to polls. Parker walked through the library, with a host of students behind him, trying to persuade students to follow him to the Montgomery County Administration Building where the polls were open. Women’s Volleyball returns a familiar face

Sinclair Community College has seen a lot of faces walk through its halls.  One face is back and it belongs to 24-year-old sophomore Brittney Wilburn. Wilburn, who stands at 5′11”, has come back to Sinclair to continue her college education and to join the Sinclair Women’s Volleyball team.  Wilburn plays both outside hitter and middle blocker for the Tartan Pride. Fire academy trains tomorrow’s heroes

Liberal Arts Dean Struthers resigns

Dr. Sally Struthers recently announced her resignation as dean of the College of Liberal Arts, Communications, and Social Sciences at Sinclair Community College after a six-year tenure. “When I became dean six years ago, it was a struggle between teaching and becoming dean,” said Struthers. “I miss teaching.” [Read more...]  Read More →

Local actor comes to Sinclair to star as Macbeth

Actor Matt Harding has returned to Ohio to star in Macbeth for Sinclair’s Theatre Department. Harding, who is originally from Yellowsprings, Oh., graduated from Wright State University with a BFA in Acting and had been living in Chicago, Il. for the past ten years before recently moving to Los Angeles, Ca. Harding was asked to play Macbeth by his friend, who also is the director of the play, Brian McKnight. They both attended Wright State and have been friends for years. [Read more...]  Read More →
